Your company runs on processes nobody else has. Your workflows do not fit the boxes of a generic SaaS. Your teams waste hours working around the limits of standardised tools you pay for every month, forever, and will never own. Custom software development fixes that at the root. You get a tool built around your business, your rules, your existing integrations (ERP, accounting, CRM, e-commerce). You own the code. It can keep evolving indefinitely. The return on investment typically lands within 2 to 3 years once you stack up what those SaaS subscriptions cost you. Go To Agency is a development studio based in Dijon, France, working remotely with clients across Europe and North America. We build robust business software for small and mid-sized companies, using a modern stack (Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase) that guarantees performance, security and long term maintainability. From auditing your processes to onboarding your teams, we ship a documented, tested product that any competent developer can pick up.

OUR PROCESS

Our process

A proven methodology, documented at every step

01
Step 01

Business process audit

We interview your teams in writing to understand your current workflows in depth. Process mapping, identification of pain points, review of the tools already in place. This phase produces a clear diagnosis of what can be automated and which business specifics the future custom software has to model.

02
Step 02

Architecture and specifications

We write the detailed functional specification: user stories, business rules, RBAC matrix, scenarios. In parallel, the technical architecture: database schema, capacity planning, REST API integration strategy. These deliverables are contractually approved before any development starts, which de-risks the whole project.

03
Step 03

UX and UI design

Interfaces designed in Figma: low fidelity wireframes signed off quickly, then high fidelity mockups built on a design system. Short iterations with your end users to secure adoption. Design is approved screen by screen before development, so you never pay for late rework.

04
Step 04

Development in agile sprints

Two-week sprints, each closing with a written review and a deployed build. You watch the software take shape continuously. Modern stack: Next.js, TypeScript and Supabase. Continuous integration with GitHub Actions and automatic deployments to a staging environment, so you can test and send feedback at any time.

05
Step 05

Testing and iteration

Unit tests on critical business logic, Playwright end-to-end tests on key journeys. User acceptance testing with your team: we fix every gap you report. Load testing where scalability needs proving. Security audit and GDPR compliance check before release.

06
Step 06

Deployment and handover

Secure go live, with a phased cutover where that makes sense. Sentry monitoring, automated backups and alerting configured. Written onboarding material and recorded walkthroughs for your teams. Full technical and user documentation handed over, plus a post-launch support period included.

ÉTUDE DE CAS : CRM automation (B2B SME)

CRM automation: 15 hours a week recovered from sales admin

[01] The challenge

A B2B services company was tracking its sales team across 4 different tools (spreadsheets, email, a free CRM, an ERP). Constant double entry, inconsistent data, reporting that was effectively impossible, leads slipping away. The sales director spent 15 hours a week consolidating numbers by hand. No product on the market covered their specific 7-stage qualification process or their multi-tier commission calculation.

[02] Notre solution

We built a custom CRM integrated with their existing ERP over a REST API. Custom sales pipeline mirroring the 7 real stages, automatic commission calculation, real time dashboard for management, automated alerts on stale leads. RBAC authentication separating sales reps, managers and executives. Stripe integration to track customer payments. Next.js and Supabase stack, shipped in 10 weeks.

[03] The result

15 hours a week saved on data consolidation. Lead conversion rate went from 18% to 27% within 6 months thanks to automated follow-ups. Full ROI reached in 14 months. The code is documented, and ongoing maintenance now costs a fraction of the 890 EUR per month they were previously spending across the 4 tools it replaced.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The cost of a custom project depends strictly on functional scope: number of modules, screens, API integrations and business complexity. A simple internal tool, a custom ERP and a full CRM are worlds apart in effort. Every project gets a precise written quote within 48 hours of a free audit. We break the quote down transparently by functional batch, so you can spread the investment across phases if that suits your budget.

A working MVP usually ships in 8 to 12 weeks. A complete business system (CRM, ERP, internal platform) takes 4 to 8 months depending on scope and the number of integrations. We work in two-week agile sprints: you see the product being built continuously, and every sprint produces a testable version. That approach kills the tunnel effect and lets you reprioritise as you learn.

A generic SaaS is the right call when your processes are standard and the tool covers 90% of what you need (classic sales CRM, accounting, simple HR). Custom becomes the better answer the moment you start working around the SaaS limits, pay for several tools to do one job, or run business rules nobody else has. Once you have around 30 users on a SaaS priced near 30 EUR per seat per month, custom typically pays for itself within 2 to 3 years.

Yes, entirely. From delivery, the source code is your full property. We hand over complete access to the GitHub repository, the technical documentation, the credentials, and everything any competent developer needs to take the project over. No licence, no hidden subscription, no technical dependency on Go To Agency. That is the fundamental difference with SaaS, where you rent a tool you will never own.

We offer monthly maintenance plans, quoted per project, covering bug fixes, security updates, monitoring, technical support and a credit of development hours. You can also trigger one-off improvement sprints whenever you need them. If you would rather handle maintenance in-house or with another vendor, that works too: the code and documentation are built to make you independent.

Yes, by design. We use Supabase and PostgreSQL for data and Vercel for front-end hosting: infrastructure that scales automatically from 10 to 100,000 users without a rebuild. Architecture decisions (caching, pagination, indexing, optimised queries) are sized against your realistic growth curve. Technical scalability carries no hidden surcharge: it is part of our quality baseline.

Security by design: hardened authentication (bcrypt hashing, optional MFA), fine-grained permissions (RBAC), encryption of sensitive data, protection against the classic attack surface (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF). For GDPR: processing register, user data export and deletion functions, consent management, European hosting (Vercel and Supabase EU regions), DPA provided. A security audit runs before every production release.

Yes. We build REST API integrations with most ERPs (SAP, Sage, Cegid, Odoo, EBP), accounting platforms (Pennylane, Tiime, QuickBooks) and CRMs (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive). If your existing system exposes no API, we can build custom connectors instead (CSV import and export, webhooks, shared database). The upfront audit pins down exactly which integrations are needed and how feasible each one is.

Absolutely, and it is one of our strongest commitments. The code uses mainstream technologies (Next.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL) you can hire for anywhere. It is commented, structured along industry conventions, and shipped with full technical documentation: architecture, database schema, API, deployment procedures. We also provide a detailed developer onboarding guide. You are never a prisoner of Go To Agency.

By default: Vercel for the front-end and Supabase for the back-end and database, both with European data centres to satisfy GDPR. That infrastructure scales automatically, ships daily backups, and delivers availability above 99.9%. If you have specific constraints (French hosting with OVH, on-premise, sovereign cloud), we adapt the infrastructure. Monthly hosting typically lands between 25 and 200 EUR depending on load, based on Vercel and Supabase list pricing at the time of writing.

That is our job. You send us a written brief covering your priority business goals and your current pain points, and we reply within one business day with the questions that matter. From there we run a written scoping phase (a few days depending on complexity) that produces a specification document, a cost breakdown by batch, and a schedule. That scoping phase is quoted separately and deducted from the final quote if you go ahead with us.

Everything happens in writing, with no calls and no meetings. You fill in the brief form describing your business, your challenges and your current processes. We read it, ask the follow-up questions needed to qualify the need, and come back within 48 hours with a price range and a timeline. If the project is mature, we propose a written scoping phase. If it is not, we point you towards the best solution for you, even when that solution is not us.
